Role Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Underwriter with a keen interest in bridging finance to support our underwriting team in assessing property loans across the UK. As a Junior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in the evaluation of loan applications, ensuring that each deal meets the company’s risk and compliance criteria. Key Responsibilities:

• Loan Assessment: Review and assess bridging loan applications, including property valuations, financials, and borrower profiles.
• Risk Analysis: Assist senior underwriters in evaluating risk factors, ensuring that all loans comply with company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation Review: Verify and analyse key loan documentation, including title deeds, contracts, and proof of income.
• Communication: Liaise with clients, brokers, and solicitors to gather necessary information and clarify any queries related to loan applications.
• Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the UK property market trends, including market conditions, property types, and legal considerations that may impact bridging finance.
• Reporting: Prepare underwriting reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders as required.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines, company policies, and best practices in underwriting.
