Co-op is seeking an ambitious Undergraduate Product Developer to join our Manchester team on a 12-month placement. You’ll work with our Product Development team to support own-brand products from concept to launch, building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and delivering development briefs.

In addition to strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills, you should be in your second year of a food-related degree and passionate about pursuing a career in

• Must be in your second year of university studying towards a food-related undergraduate degree.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Good problem-solving and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with internal and external partners to ensure product launches succeed.
• Support development/re-development of own-label products and deliver projects for Co-op ranges.
• Create clear development briefs using food expertise and market knowledge.
• Monitor products from development through to launch.
• Visit stores and manufacturing sites across the UK to inform product strategy.
• Identify new trends and market gaps to inform development.
• Communicate key product information and launch activities clearly.
