Job summary

NHS Professionals Limited is seeking a Sonographer to join the Ultrasound Department at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. You will perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, produce diagnostic reports, and communicate findings with sensitivity, ensuring patient safety and justified referrals.

You will support colleagues across Stockton, Hartlepool, and Peterlee sites, participate in weekend/extended shifts as required, and contribute to teaching, audits, and CPD within a

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Sonographer (or equivalent).
• Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound with broad range experience.
• Competent in independent ultrasound reporting with CPD.

Responsibilities

• Exercise advanced clinical judgement evaluating complex information.
• Support governance, policies and standard operating procedures.
• Build professional relationships with stakeholders and promote teamwork.
• Participate in governance activities and service evaluations.
• Support leadership and quality improvement across the ultrasound service.
• Maintain registration and CPD; identify opportunities for development.
