Job summary

Sumer Group in Leeds is seeking a Compliance Assurance Manager to lead the company’s quality assurance monitoring and compliance programme. You will provide guidance on internal controls across audit, non-audit services and internal functions, collaborating with senior leaders to elevate standards.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK; you must be permanently resident in the UK and willing to travel regularly across our hubs nationwide.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in a compliance, risk, assurance, audit, or regulatory role.
• Experience leading quality assurance and compliance programmes.
• Ability to work with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction environments.
• Accountancy qualification preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group's quality assurance monitoring programme.
• Conduct control assessments, walkthroughs and testing across key compliance areas.
• Identify reporting inconsistencies, control weaknesses and remediation plans, tracking actions.
• Produce reports on findings, risks and recommendations for management and governance boards.
