Overview

Our client is a well-respected grower, packer and distributor of Salads and Herbs. A family firm with main growing locations in the Midlands. They have a well-established customer base comprising mainly UK Wholesale, Food Service and other non-retail outlets.

They are looking for an experienced professional to bring their ability for sales and procurement to forge a new category. The role is open to home-based (office tba) candidates as well as those based in the office, available to people living anywhere in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Apply sales and procurement expertise to forge a new category within the Fresh Produce trade.
• Utilize experience and relationships to help drive the business forward and grow top and bottom lines.
• Collaborate across Fruit categories, Vegetables (incl. specialty) and/or Exotics, with a preference for Salad products.
• Leverage track record of buying and selling fresh products to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

• Extraordinary Buying and Sales skills; currently working within the Fresh Produce industry. Open to any level of experience if you can demonstrate a successful track record of managing your own buying and selling of fresh products.
• Proven track record of delivering sales and new business in non-retail or wholesale, catering and Food Service markets (UK).
• Strong IT skills; Excellent commercial acumen and communication skills.
• Experience with Fruit categories, Vegetables (incl. specialty) and/or Exotics; selective on Salad products is a plus.
