Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Account Manager required to join a leading engineering manufacturer. The successful Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Account Manager will be responsible for driving UK sales growth through strategic account management, distributor development, and new business generation across oil & gas, water / wastewater, chemical, power generation, process, and industrial sectors, while collaborating with headquarters to align market strategy. The Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Account Manager will ideally be an experienced sales professional with a strong background in valves and flow control, skilled in managing key accounts and distributors across the UK, technically proficient in industrial applications, and confident in leading national sales activity with regular travel to headquarters.

Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Account Manager Role
  • Manage and grow UK sales through direct customer engagement, distributor management, and strategic account development.
  • Promote a wide range of engineered valve and actuation solutions, including ball, gate, globe, check, and control valves, as well as customised flow control and automation systems.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across oil & gas, water / wastewater, chemical, power generation, process, and industrial sectors.
  • Maintain regular contact with key accounts to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting, performance reporting, and market analysis to support growth targets.
  • Work closely with technical and commercial teams in Germany to align on customer requirements and product delivery.
  • Attend industry exhibitions, customer meetings, and on-site visits to strengthen client relationships and promote the product portfolio.
  • Contribute to the development of the UK market strategy in line with the company's global objectives.
Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Account Manager Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager, Account Manager, Senior Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Representative, Business Development Manager, or similar within valves, flow control, or related engineered products.
  • Strong track record in managing key accounts and distribution networks across the UK.
  • Technical understanding of valve or flow control systems for industrial applications.
  • Confident negotiator with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a national territory with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland with a quarterly requirement to travel to Germany Headquarters for meetings.
  • Full UK driving license.
