Overview

Job Title: UK Sales Manager

Location: Remote & Office based (in Fife, from home and with regular travel across the UK)

Reports to: Sales Director

Our business is rooted in transparency, integrity, and authenticity. We’re looking for an experienced and driven UK Sales Manager to help us maintain and grow our sales, partnerships across the UK.

Role Overview

The UK Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for both Adelphi Independent Bottlings and Ardnamurchan Distillery products across the UK. This role will focus on strengthening trade relationships, increasing on and off-trade distribution, managing key accounts, and building brand visibility.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Execution
    • Develop and implement a UK-wide sales strategy aligned with overall company goals.
    • Identify growth opportunities in both on-trade and off-trade.
    • Plan and execute route-to-market strategies, including working with regional distributors and direct accounts.
  • Account Management
    • Manage and grow relationships with key trade partners, wholesalers, and specialist retailers
    • Conduct regular visits, tastings, and brand training sessions to support account engagement.
    • Track, manage and report on account performance, debtors, sales targets, and market trends.
  • Brand Advocacy
    • Act as a passionate ambassador for both Adelphi and Ardnamurchan, maintaining high standards of brand presentation.
    • Organise and attend whisky events, trade shows, tastings, and festivals across the UK.
    • Provide product training and education to trade and retail staff.
  • Collaboration & Reporting
    • Work closely with the marketing and production teams to align sales activities with brand campaigns, stock availability, and production schedules.
    • Report regularly to the Sales Director on sales performance and forecasting.
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven track record in UK whisky (preferable), spirits, or premium drinks sales.
  • Strong understanding of the UK on-trade and off-trade landscape.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely, with self-driven motivation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK, with regular visits to the Ardnamurchan Distillery and our head office in Fife.
  • A clean UK drivers license.

Desirable:

  • Existing network of UK whisky trade contacts.
  • Experience in UK Grocery.
  • Passion for Scotch whisky, with knowledge of independent bottling and single malt categories.
  • Experience working with premium or craft spirits brands.
  • WSET Spirits qualifications or equivalent.
