The Regional Financial Controller (UK) is accountable for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across the UK region. This role drives compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies while partnering with business leaders to achieve financial and operational objectives. Working closely with the Portfolio CFO, Portfolio Financial Controller, and local management teams, the position promotes governance, performance, and financial discipline throughout the region.

Job Description
Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Oversee all financial accounting and reporting activities for Group and Regional entities.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting in line with corporate standards.
  • Prepare and review regional financial results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, meeting corporate reporting timelines.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidation processes at the Group level.
  • Safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial systems, data, and reports.
  • Support post-acquisition financial setup and integration, ensuring smooth transition and reporting alignment.
Planning, Budgeting & Analysis
  • Drive quarterly forecasting processes across all entities within the Group.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing actionable insights into financial performance and risks.
  • Partner with operational leaders to deliver financial analysis that supports business decisions, cost optimization, and growth initiatives.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff and local finance teams, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Financial Controller to standardize reporting and streamline cross-regional processes.
Systems and Process Improvement
  • Support implementation and enhancement of financial systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, Power BI, Concur).
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across finance operations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Qualified Accountant Certification (CA, CPA, or CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally in a multi‑entity or regional finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), financial reporting standards, and governance practices.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with consolidated reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across multiple entities.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (preferably NetSuite or SAGE) and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.
