Job description

This role is focused on protecting and raising assets across Impax's UCITS fund range, Impax Environmental Markets plc (our flagship investment trust) and private market strategies within the UK Wholesale market. The candidate will have 5+ years of distribution experience with a network of relationships in the UK and Channel Islands as well as a proven track record of raising assets. The role combines building on our existing investor footprint as well as developing new relationships with UK wealth managers, DFMs, banks, multi-managers, family offices and platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of Impax's UK wholesale business by raising assets under management across our UCITS range and Investment Trust
  • Strengthen relationships with Impax's client base through a high energy approach to activity
  • Play an ambassadorial role for Impax with integrity and technical credibility
  • Build Impax's brand recognition in the wider market by representing the firm at relevant industry events
  • Develop and lead on thoughtful and engaging 'home-grown' events with clients
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities, managing multiple engagements from initial engagement to allocation
  • Record all client interactions in Salesforce in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with marketing, investment, and client service teams to ensure consistent and high-quality client communication
  • Actively support new fund launches through pre-launch feedback and market sounding, finding seed investors and accelerating post launch fund AUM
Qualifications
  • Compliance with local regulations and internal policies and procedures
  • Candidates will have 5+ years of experience in business development / fund raising preferably within asset management
  • Proven track record of selling actively managed equity and credit strategies to intermediaries across the UK
  • Private markets experience a bonus
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Understands the sales process, routes to market and enablers, such as the importance of platforms and fund rating agencies (experience with distribution / platform agreements a positive but not essential)
  • Genuine interest in Impax's authentic approach to investing with a deep understanding of the transition to a more sustainable economy
  • Self-starter that is highly organised and wants to be part of a collaborative, collegiate sales team
  • Solid knowledge across different asset classes including private markets and investment solutions / structures (UCITS, Investment Trusts)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills needed for building internal and external relationships
  • Excellent written / oral English and good analytical skills
  • FCA regulated with IMC or equivalent. Studying towards CFA / CAIA a positive
  • Degree and / or subsequent qualifications
  • Compliance: This role requires the individual to be approved by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to perform a Controlled Function.
