Mission description

In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of this role is to support the HR Country Lead and wider UK HR team in the co‑ordination of HR UK wide activities acting as project support officer on a variety of key projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for arranging UKHRD meetings, monthly and ad‑hoc as required, preparing agenda, slides decks and maintaining actions notes
  • Support the project leads with the UK transformational projects, acting as project team member and providing general administration tasks and preparing project status updates
  • Support the deployment of Group HR initiatives co‑ordinating activity across the UK ensuring consistency of approach (where appropriate) and providing feedback to Group on progress
  • Preparing a weekly highlight report on UK wide activities and progress against plans
  • Lead for Talent Management activities in UK, leading UK Talent Review meetings with HRD and UK MDs and acting as focal point to encourage mobility
  • Prepare monthly reports for UK community; recruitment activity and Exit interview analysis
  • Maintain the UK sharepoint ensuring it is an accessible and informative source of information for the whole HR community
  • Chair the UK HRBP network encouraging collaboration and sharing of best practice
  • Support to UK Strategy development agenda, acting as a key support for the UK Country
  • Lead undertaking research activities to support in particular Levelling Up and Skills
  • Key member of the Women@Safran network
  • Act a lead for the introduction of new UK employment legislation supporting UK businesses to develop new policies and processes
  • Provide support as required to the UK Communications Group acting as interface between UK and Communications teams
Contract Details

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract on a part time basis (27 hours per week - preferably to be worked over 5 days).

Candidate skills
  • Good understanding of UK employment legislation
  • Operational HR experience at HR Advisor or Business Partner level
  • Ability to multi task with different projects and multiple objectives
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with an analytical mind‑set
  • Experience of using qualitative and quantitative data to prepare reports for multiple audience
