We are looking for a Head of Digital to lead and scale our high-performing UK digital practice within an integrated marketing & communications agency, delivering measurable growth for clients and the business. You will own the digital revenues, localise & implement the global digital service rollout (including AI-enabled services), and help to lead and develop the digital culture.
About the role
- Represent and lead the UK digital teams
- Build growth strategies specific for the UK teams
- Implement global digital initiatives in the UK to develop our channel specific and integrated marcomms services
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on growth strategies including performance media, and ABM.
- Provide strategic leadership across our growth marketing (paid search, paid social, programmatic & SEO) teams
- Commercials for the UK teams, such as pipeline, revenue, capacity and efficiency ensuring a profitable operation with room to scale
Key responsibilities
1) Commercial leadership
- Own and grow the UK digital revenue and cost base, working with CDO and Managing Partner of Europe to drive profitability.
- Lead new-business strategy and pitches; shape integrated solutions with creative, PR, brand and growth teams.
- Localise global marketing initiatives and help grow Clarity brand presence in the UK.
2) Client leadership and growth
- Serve as senior sponsor for VIP accounts helping ensure the best client experience
- Embed test-and-learn frameworks; connect brand, content and media to commercial outcomes.
- Ensure excellence in measurement, incrementality and attribution; champion clear narratives to boards.
3) Product, innovation and AI
- Evolve the digital product roadmap across B2B and B2C; pilot emerging channels.
- Operationalise responsible AI (governance, tooling, workflow integration, training, QA).
- Institute playbooks for full-funnel growth (awareness to retention/loyalty) and ecommerce performance.
4) People, culture and capability
- Hire, coach and retain senior digital talent; build a diverse, high-performing team.
- Create progression frameworks, billable/non-billable mix, and communities of practice.
- Promote an inclusive, psychologically safe culture with strong craft standards.
5) Delivery and operations
- Improve scoping, resourcing, utilisation and delivery quality; reduce scope creep.
- Partner with Finance and Operations on revenue forecasting, staffing and vendor management.
- Ensure the UK digital business (laddering to the global business) is fully documented and has detailed SOPs in place to help scale with new service, innovations and ways of working.
Experience and qualifications
- 10–15+ years in digital marketing within agencies or consultancies, including leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Proven P&L ownership at practice/office level and responsibility for complex, seven‑figure accounts.
- Deep expertise across at least two of: performance media, SEO/content, social/influencer, CRM/MA, analytics/measurement, or ecommerce.
- Strong grasp of MarTech/AdTech (CDPs, DSPs, GMP, MAP/CRM suites) and data privacy in the UK.
- Track record of building productised services and winning integrated pitches.
- Comfortable engaging at board level; excellent commercial storytelling.
- Relevant certifications advantageous (e.g., Google, Adobe, Salesforce, LinkedIn, IPA).
