Job summary

Open in London is seeking a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer to join our UK engineering team. You’ll own building and sustaining UK partner integrations within Open Embedded, extending the platform to meet regional needs from quote through to claim.

You will work closely with our AU-based engineers, product, and TechOps, shipping changes end‑to‑end, handling production issues, and ensuring the UK footprint stays healthy and performant while adopting AI-native ways of working.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and operating production software.
• Full-stack capability: customer journey + service behind it.
• Comfort reading large existing codebases.
• Experience integrating with external APIs and handling contracts/retries.
• Strong Python and AWS experience.
• Modern frontend skills with TypeScript.
• Genuine AI-native approach in daily work.
• Ownership of shipped features and the ability to discuss all stages.
• Strong CI/CD practices and reversible changes.
• Clear and proactive communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build UK partner integrations and keep them live from requirement to release.
• Own delivery in the Open Embedded product for the UK.
• Configure/extend platform to meet partner needs and ensure UK health of the system.
• Ship changes in the same codebase with a senior engineer nearby.
• Troubleshoot integration problems and write production code across the stack.
• Collaborate with partner-facing colleagues, Product, TechOps and AU team.
• Provide timely feedback on progress and manage risk with the team.
