Job summary

Authority.inc is seeking an Energy & Utilities Expert Commentary specialist for a remote contract position open to experts located anywhere in the United Kingdom. You will provide clear, accurate commentary on power markets, utilities, oil and gas, renewables, infrastructure, regulation, demand, and energy transition.

The engagement is approximately four hours per month. You will review Authority.inc research, datasets, and forecasts to identify errors, weak assumptions, and missing context,

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in energy and utilities.
• Deep knowledge of at least one vertical, function, or specialist discipline.
• Firsthand experience with sector decisions, operations, risks, and market dynamics.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely in written and verbal form.
• A detail-oriented approach and commitment to accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, accurate commentary on power markets, utilities, oil and gas, renewables, infrastructure, regulation, demand, and energy transition.
• Review Authority.inc research, datasets, and forecasts to identify errors, weak assumptions, and missing context.
• Commentary will be used to fine-tune forecasting models in energy and utilities markets globally.
