Job summary

Assurant Device Care Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced UK eCommerce Manager to shape and grow online and retail sales of technology devices and services. You will own the customer journey and P&L while using commercial insight, data and cross-functional collaboration to create simple, effective experiences for our customers.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience growing eCommerce or retail sales and establishing strong commercial relationships with mobile network operators (MNOs), retailers and leasing partners.
  • Commercial awareness with budgets, forecasting, targets or profit-and-loss performance.
  • Confidence using data, web analytics and customer insight to drive decisions and improve performance.
  • Practical experience with cloud-based multichannel e-commerce platforms such as Rithum (ChannelAdvisor) and CMS, plus digital marketing practices (SEO, SEM, PPC, affiliates, email).
  • Ability to lead projects and manage competing priorities across functions.
  • Clear communication of performance, recommendations and risks to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and adapting to new systems.
  • Proactive, collaborative approach and sound judgement working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Grow sales and develop strategic channels with MNOs, retailers and leasing partners.
  • Turn insight into action using data and customer insights to optimise online and retail sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, IT, operations and support to deliver a joined-up customer journey.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, sales targets and P&L with clear reporting on results.
  • Explore market opportunities and stay ahead of customer needs and trends.
  • Lead digital marketing activities across PPC, SEO, display, affiliates and email.
  • Ensure activity meets legal, regulatory and internal requirements including approvals.
  • Oversee day-to-day eCommerce operations end-to-end and resolve performance issues.
  • Share progress with senior stakeholders through meaningful, regular updates.

UK eCommerce Manager Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire | Hybrid 2 days in the office, 3 days flexible from home

The Opportunity

As UK eCommerce Manager, you will shape and grow our online and retail sales of technology devices and services. With ownership of the customer journey and profit-and-loss performance, you will use commercial insight, data and cross-functional collaboration to create simple, effective experiences for our customers. This is an opportunity to influence strategy while staying close to day-to-day delivery in a flexible, supportive environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Grow sales and develop strategic channels: Develop and deliver strategies that increase sales, improve the customer experience and establish strong commercial relationships across MNO, retail, leasing, and other channels.
  • Turn insight into action: Use data and customer insight to guide decisions and optimise online and retail sales.
  • Collaborate across the business: Partner with marketing, sales, IT, operations and customer support to deliver a joined-up customer journey.
  • Manage commercial performance: Own budgets, forecasts, sales targets and profit-and-loss performance, and provide clear reporting on results.
  • Explore market opportunities: Keep up to date with customer needs, market trends and emerging technology to strengthen our proposition.
  • Lead digital marketing activity: Oversee channels including PPC, SEO, display, affiliates and email marketing, working with internal teams and partners as appropriate.
  • Support responsible growth: Ensure activity meets relevant legal, regulatory, ethical and internal requirements, including business, contract and commercial approvals.
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery: Manage eCommerce operations from end to end, identifying and resolving issues that affect customers or performance.
  • Communicate progress: Share regular, meaningful updates with senior stakeholders on key measures, progress, risks and opportunities.
What You’ll Bring Essential
  • Demonstrable experience growing eCommerce or retail sales and establishing strong commercial relationships with mobile network operators (MNOs), retailers and leasing partners, ideally within used mobile devices, refurbished technology or consumer electronics.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience with budgets, forecasting, targets or profit-and-loss performance.
  • Confidence using data, web analytics and customer insight to make decisions and improve performance.
  • Practical experience of, and a strong understanding of cloud‑based multichannel e‑commerce sales platforms such as Rithum (ChannelAdvisor), together with working knowledge of content management systems and digital marketing practices such as SEO, SEM, PPC, affiliates or email marketing.
  • Ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities and work effectively with colleagues and partners across different functions.
  • Clear communication and the ability to explain performance, recommendations and risks to a range of audiences.
  • Comfort using Microsoft 365 tools and learning new systems.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and sound judgement when working independently.
  • Experience in technology eCommerce, retail sales, contract negotiations or a regulated environment.
