TEKsystems in London seeks an experienced Application Development Lead / Solution Architect to drive architecture for a major, long-term banking programme creating a new EU legal entity in Paris. You will provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams, designing scalable and secure architectures and overseeing API integrations to ensure regulatory alignment and robust operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking tech, Tier 1 preferred.
• Background in solution/app architecture or development.
• Experience delivering large tech transformation programs.
• Strong systems integration and API knowledge.
• Strong app architecture for scalable, secure solutions.
• Stakeholder management across tech and business.
• Technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
• Analytical problem solving.
• Clear communication of technical concepts.

Responsabilités

• Design and define solution and application architectures that support the establishment and ongoing operation of a new EU legal entity.
• Assess the existing application landscape, identify gaps and required changes, and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Oversee application development activities, providing technical direction and ensuring high-quality delivery across the full lifecycle.
• Lead and coordinate systems integration, including APIs, interfaces and data flows between upstream and downstream systems.
• Manage technical dependencies across multiple systems and platforms to ensure coherent end-to-end solutions.
• Support testing activities by guiding test strategy from a technical perspective and helping resolve defects and integration issues.
• Contribute to implementation planning and execution, ensuring solutions are robust, secure and ready for operational use.
• Drive operational readiness by collaborating with Technology and Operations teams to ensure systems, processes and controls are in place.
• Work closely with Technology, Operations, Business, Compliance and Risk teams to align solutions with regulatory and business requirements.
• Provide clear technical leadership and guidance within a complex, cross-functional banking programme, promoting best practices in architecture and development.
• Communicate architectural decisions and technical approaches effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions support regulatory and legal entity change requirements and can scale to meet future European banking needs.
