Job summary

ITSS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an Accountant for our UK entity. The role covers the full accounting cycle from GL to statutory reporting, VAT compliance, and coordination with Head Office.

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensure timely month-end and year-end closings, and liaise with auditors, banks, and tax advisors. A strong UK tax and ERP background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field is required or preferred.
• Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/AAT or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles, VAT and HMRC requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or Sage and good Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journals, accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance.
• Support corporation tax compliance and liaise with external tax advisors.
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors.
• Monitor cash, bank transactions and working capital.
• Ensure proper documentation and internal controls.
