Job summary

A global technology and consulting firm is looking for a UI/UX Lead in Telford, UK. This role entails leading the design for web and mobile products, creating prototypes, and ensuring user-focused delivery. A degree in Design or related field is required. The contract is for 8 weeks with a possibility of extension, requiring on-site work two days a week.

Job Title: UI/UX Lead

Location: Telford, United Kingdom (2 days onsite weekly - mandatory)

About the Role

We're looking for a UI/UX Lead to take ownership of design across web and mobile products. You'll drive the end-to-end design process, set standards, and ensure user-focused delivery within a fast-moving digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle UI/UX design
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
• Conduct user research and usability testing
• Maintain design guidelines and best practices
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams
• Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and UX quality

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years UI/UX experience, including 2+ in a lead role
• Strong portfolio across web and mobile
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript; experience with React or Angular
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and MuleSoft integration
• Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
• Strong grasp of UX principles and accessibility standards
• Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD, and Agile teams
• Degree in Design, HCI, or related field

Technical Skills

• Experience designing for government or citizen-facing platforms
• Familiarity with API-led connectivity and MuleSoft architecture
• Strong understanding of responsive design and UI engineering basics
