Communication
- Maintain effective channels of communication, ensuring effective coproduction and cocreation
- To establish lines of communication with other UHN colleagues in the Trust and wider healthcare community where appropriate, to ensure that improvements and services are integrated.
- Provide and receive highly complex, highly sensitive or highly contentious information, where developed persuasive, motivational, negotiating, training, empathic or re-assurance skills are required.
- To support a communication structure within the Clinical Management Group to ensure all staff are and remain engaged in the UHN's vision for delivering excellence in all we do.
- Using the highest degree of motivational and negotiating skills ensure an atmosphere of collaboration across the key stakeholders involved in the delivery of change to ensure improvement is achieved.

Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Clinical professional qualification or operational management qualification or equivalent knowledge gained in a health-related organisation
- Significant experience of working within maternity services
- Comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the Maternity Transformation Programme and national drivers for change and improvement across maternity & neonatal services
- Management experience to include experience of having undertaken change management
- Experience of analysing complex data with multiple components of information in both qualitative and quantitative formats
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge and understanding of current NHS structures and health and social care delivery systems
- Knowledge and understanding of NHS commissioning and benchmarking
- Project management at a senior level with evidence of leading and managing improvement projects
- Ability to present complex, sensitive or contentious information to a large group of staff or members of the public
Educations, Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of education, training or experience
- Registered Midwife
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
- Must currently Lead PMRT Reviews

If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£49.50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. From 1st February 2019 all new starters to the Trust are required to join the DBS update service as per Trust DBS Re-checking Policy which has an annual cost of £16. New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay £49.50 for a new DBS check in 3 years time.
Please note that news starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.
