Windracers is seeking a hands-on engineer to join the Airframe Manufacturing and Assembly Team in Fareham, UK. The role covers assembling airframe components, installing systems and avionics, and supporting commissioning on new aircraft.
You will work on a mix of bench and standing tasks, follow engineering drawings, and contribute to digital build logs. The role requires 3+ years in engineering or manufacturing and readiness to travel for UK post-production operations.
Part of the Airframe Manufacturing and Assembly Team focussing on the ongoing production of airframe items, the installation of systems and avionics onto aircraft, and support during the commissioning process of new aircraft.
The candidate will be expected to be comfortable working within a typical aerospace or engineering assembly space as part of a larger production line for the Windracers ULTRA. They will be comfortable moving from task to task throughout the manufacturing process as part of a smaller sub team. The work will involve following standard engineering drawings and specifications, with training provided where required.
The role will involve both bench based and standing work, as well as opportunities to work away from the production facility supporting our postproduction flight operations within the UK.
