Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking a passionate UAT Tester for our Content QA team in Chadderton. The role involves testing games in a UAT environment through to sign-off, working closely with stakeholders and a UAT Lead to ensure the highest quality standards for a global audience.

Qualifications

• Experience in Software QA or similar testing role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Mantis.
• Knowledge of QA management tools like qTest or TestRail.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Responsibilities

• Execute test cases and report defects with developers for timely resolution.
• Interpret requirements and design effective test cases to maximize coverage.
• Perform regression testing after defect fixes to ensure stability.
• Set up and maintain test environments to support testing.
• Provide progress updates to Content QA Manager and flag risks.
• Participate in exploratory gameplay sessions to broaden test coverage.
• Ensure all releases meet game standards and regulatory requirements.

Position Summary

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and detail-oriented UAT Tester to join our Content QA team in Chadderton. Working closely with stakeholders and supported by a UAT Lead, you'll be responsible for testing games in a UAT environment through to game sign-off ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality. What You'll Do

• Execute test cases and accurately report defects, working closely with developers to support timely resolution
• Interpret feature requirements and design effective test cases to maximise test coverage
• Perform regression testing following defect fixes to ensure stability and quality
• Set up, configure, and maintain test environments to support efficient testing processes
• Provide regular updates to the Content QA Manager on testing progress and any risks or issues
• Participate in exploratory gameplay sessions to identify new test scenarios and enhance coverage
• Ensure all software releases meet defined game standards and comply with relevant regulatory requirements

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in a Software QA or similar testing role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Experience using bug tracking tools such as Mantis or Jira
• Familiarity with QA management tools (e.g. qTest, TestRail)
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience within the gaming industry is desirable but not essential

Due to the hand-on nature of this role and the need to work directly with our gaming machines and test environments, this position is fully onsite at our Chadderton site.
