Title: UABOS Turkey LN: Mechanic/Repairman

Overview

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains basic control systems for all vehicles and workshop equipment.
  • Provide operator maintenance training to all employees as needed for the tasks.
  • Repair and/or rebuild various engines, equipment, electrical, hydraulic and suspension systems as necessary.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Service and repair of various types of small and medium-sized engines, gasoline and diesel-powered equipment.
  • Perform autobody painting and repair work.
  • Apply various lubricants as needed and ensure proper application.
  • Operate and maintain small, medium, and large heavy equipment (Must be licensed).
  • Perform driver duties as required.
  • Maintain and manage parts inventory; order parts using appropriate computer applications.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and technical staff as necessary.
  • Daily use of computer applications for inventory management.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 60 lbs - 27 kilos, extended sitting, standing, and walking and working outdoors and in environments where exposure to normal and adverse weather conditions, vegetation, pollen, insects, or potential bee stings may occur.
Basic Qualifications
  • Turkish Citizen
  • At least five (5) years of relevant work experience as a mechanic.
  • Vocational high school or college degree.
  • Minimum B class valid driving license.
  • Capable to speak, read, write and understand English Language Level 1
  • Certifications in specific areas such as small engine repair or heavy machinery maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced vocational training or a college degree in Mechanics.
  • Certification in mechanical or automotive repair.
  • OSHA or equivalent safety training certifications.
  • Training in handling hazardous materials and equipment safely.

All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.

All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.

All male candidates must have completed their military service.
