Job summary

ROHDE & SCHWARZ GmbH & Co. KG in Fleet, UK, is seeking a skilled engineer to manage cabling terminations, equipment installations, and related testing activities on defence-grade communications installations.

You will inspect shipyard equipment against military and industry standards, perform Set to Work on sub-systems, and lead Harbour Acceptance Trials with customers. Occasional international and UK-based test support at SIF (Fleet), LBIF (Portsmouth), and Rohde & Schwarz Plant in Teisnach

Responsibilities

• Terminate or modify rack internal cabling and equipment installations.
• Inspect shipyard installed communications equipment for defence and industry standards.
• Perform Set to Work (STW) of various sub-systems incorporated by the comms installation.
• Execute Harbour Acceptance Trials (HATs) for customers.
• Occasional test support at Supplier Integration Facility (SIF) in Fleet, Hampshire.
• Occasional test support at Land Based Integration Facility (LBIF) in Portsmouth, Hampshire.
• Occasional integration/test support at Rohde & Schwarz Plant in Teisnach, Germany.
