Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd is recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join a busy home delivery team. You will work with a driver's mate to complete deliveries to customers’ homes, providing a friendly, professional service.

You will drive safely on planned routes, load and unload goods, carry out daily vehicle checks and complete electronic proof of delivery. A strong commitment to safety and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement.
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Previous commercial driving experience.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Ability to carry out a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting, using appropriate equipment and safe handling methods.
A reliable, punctual approach and the ability to work well as part of a two-person team.

Responsibilities

Safely drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle on planned delivery routes.
Complete deliveries to customers’ homes, including carrying goods into the required room.
Work with your driver’s mate to load, unload and handle goods safely.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery.
Keep customers informed and report any delivery issues to the transport team.
Follow road safety, manual handling and company procedures.
