Job summary

inspiring vet care in Ringwood, Hampshire, is seeking a Twilight Veterinary Care Assistant to join Southern Counties on a part-time permanent basis. You will support the clinical team across inpatient care, patient handling, and infection control in a multidisciplinary referral hospital.

The role requires a caring, team-focused individual with good communication, organisation, and a proactive approach to learning.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses to provide vital patient care within a multidisciplinary referral hospital.
• Support hospitalised patients through basic inpatient care and monitoring.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the hospital.
• Restock clinical areas and ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use.
• Assist Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses with patient restraint.
• Support rehabilitation by providing basic massage and physiotherapy techniques where required.
• Run a variety of in-house laboratory tests.
• Assist with the maintenance and organisation of ward equipment.
