Job summary

Medivet is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to support the nurse and vets with in-patient procedures and pet care, delivering exceptional care to clients, patients, and colleagues. You will join a supportive team in a busy practice and help ensure high standards of welfare and service.

You’ll deliver patient monitoring, assist with surgeries, and work 7 on 14 off from 4pm to 2am. The role emphasizes flexibility, calmness under pressure, and a commitment to learning and development.

Qualifications

• You’re skilled at providing exceptional client care and are passionate about caring for pets.
• You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.
• We welcome applications from candidates able to prioritise, remain calm under pressure and who are flexible and willing to learn.
• This role is not suitable for young workers in line with Health and Safety Executive (government) direction due to the expected duties of the role. Therefore, you will be asked to confirm that you are over the age of 18 as part of the application process.
