Job summary

DNA Vetcare's Mead Vet Centre in Dartford is seeking an outstanding Twilight RVN to join our team. The role offers a four-day week with shifts from 4pm–2am or 2pm–12am, plus a 1:5 weekends rota and TOIL for weekends worked, with a 1:11 on-call rota.

You will work with certificate-holding Vets in a state-of-the-art facility, supporting orthopaedics, laparoscopy, and diverse caseloads while benefiting from CPD, certificate support, and clear career progression within a collaborative hospital team.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience in clinical practice.
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care across orthopaedics, TPLOs, fractures, and complex medical cases.
• Support nursing and surgical teams with clinical coaching and CPD opportunities.

Here at Mead Vet Centre, we have a really exciting and varied caseload where you’ll be fully involved in cases including Orthopaedics, TPLOs, Fracture Repairs, Complex Medical Cases, Laparoscopic Spays, and much, much more, giving you the opportunity to work within your own areas of interest – whether you are an all rounder and enjoy all areas of nursing, or maybe surgery, wards, anaesthesia, or intensive care is your thing, we are happy to foster your interests and help you become the RVN you strive to be.

We have some really great equipment including CT Scanner (incoming), Digital X‑ray, Dental X‑ray, Ultrasound, Laser, Endoscope, Lap Equipment, In-house lab, Microscope, 3 Multiparameters, syringe drivers, drip pumps, the list goes on!

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Mead Vet Centre, you will be working alongside multiple certificate holding Vets (Orthopaedics, ECC, Exotics & Internal Medicine), a fantastic team of RVNs, highly trained VCAs, a fully committed customer care team (meaning no reception duties for you – allowing you to utilise those skills that you’ve dedicated so much time to gain), and an incredibly supportive Hospital Management team.

With this position, you have the opportunity to support our nursing and support teams with clinical coaching opportunities and the chance to further progress your career through CPD and further certificate support.
