Job Title: Twilight Registered Veterinary Nurse

Location: Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Part Time (26 hours/week)

Salary: Starting from £21,750/ annum (inclusive of enhanced weekend rate), depending on experience

About the Role

This is a part time permanent position. The working hours are: 6 hour shifts (4pm-10.30pm) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday twilight shifts. Plus participation in the 1:4 Saturday rota (4pm-midnight) and Bank Holiday rota.

About You
  • Is a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with proven experience in a similar role
  • Has good organisational and communication skills
  • Works well in a busy environment
  • Has a proactive 'can do' attitude
  • Is eligible to work in the UK.

You’ll be working alongside a wonderful team including a very supportive PCA team, and you’ll be fully supported by the whole nursing team.

About the Practice

Anderson Moores is in a serene countryside setting with state-of-the-art facilities and are available to look after pets 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Twilight Nurse you will predominantly be based in our wards areas. Our twilight nurses are an integral part of the team; constantly working to the highest standards to ensure our patients are comfortable and able to recover during their stay in wards. You will enjoy nursing a wide range of cases, using your knowledge and skills to ensure each individual patient receives the care they require. Including: specialised diets, medications, pain relief, physiotherapy, catheter and drain care, mental stimulation and wound management.

You will work closely with the clinicians, anaesthetists, patient care assistants, night team and the day nurse teams. A rotation of a procedure shift is included to utilise your anaesthesia and theatre skills.
