JDR Recruitment Ltd is seeking reliable parcel sorters to work twilight shifts in a busy Carlisle warehouse. The role involves unloading deliveries, checking for damage, picking/packing orders, labeling for dispatch and moving stock as needed.

Flexibility across 7 days may apply, with potential for permanent roles after 12 weeks. Applicants should be physically fit, numerate with good literacy, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload deliveries.
• Check goods for damage or missing items.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
• Label and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely.
• Move stock around the warehouse.
• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
• Always follow Health and Safety procedures.
• Use handheld scanners or basic warehouse equipment when required.
• Help with stock checks and keeping inventory accurate.
• Report damaged goods or equipment to a supervisor.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily targets.
• Carry out manual handling tasks safely.
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to help with different warehouse duties.
