Job Overview

A wonderful live-out nanny position has become available, working with a relaxed and happy family in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. This is a twelve-month fixed term role, covering the current nanny who is going on maternity leave. You will be responsible for looking after two active, bright and happy boys, aged four and seven years. The parents occasionally work from home, but this will be a sole charge position in a spacious child‑friendly house with a lovely garden.

Responsibilities

• Provide a fun, energetic and nurturing environment for the children.
• Support their learning and development through educational and stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors.
• Plan and lead day‑trip adventures during school holidays.
• Assist with the school run and keep the children organised (laundry, tidy bedrooms and playroom, preparing uniforms, etc.).
• Prepare healthy and nutritious homemade meals for the children each day.
• Oversee bath‑time, bedtime routines and hand over to parents each evening.
• Enjoy very occasional house management tasks (tidy kitchen, empty dishwasher, run errands) to help keep the home running smoothly.
• Safely drive the children to school, appointments and activities; a clean licence, fully insured car and duty mileage reimbursement are required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Two years of childcare experience.
• Enhanced DBS (updated) and 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid certification.
• Childcare qualification preferred but experience essential.

Working Hours & Schedule

Term Time (33 weeks): 07:30‑09:30 and 15:30‑18:30 (25 hours per week).
School Holidays (19 weeks): 07:30‑18:30 (55 hours per week).

Location & Travel

Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Driving required; duty mileage will be paid.

Salary & Contract

£31,790 gross per annum with mutually agreed overtime paid at £17 gross per hour. This is a twelve‑month fixed‑term role from January 2026 to December 2026.
