Job description
Overview

TeacherActive is partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout Nottingham. We provide educational support to individuals currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

Responsibility

We are looking for a TA/Tutor with experience of working with challenging young people to provide KS1‑KS4 Maths and English support on a 1:1 basis for students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

The students have diagnoses of Autism and ADHD. As they have been out of education for some time, they require support with their core subjects, Maths and English, but will be working at a lower level. The HTLA will need to assess their current ability and re‑introduce education into their routine whilst a suitable school provision is found. Lessons will take place either in a local Library or the young person’s home.

Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have a strong understanding of SEN and a good level of Maths and English.
