An educational support provider in the UK is seeking a KS1-KS4 Tutor to offer 1:1 Maths and English support to students with SEN in the East Midlands. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Autism and ADHD, and experience working with challenging youth. The position is part-time, with hours ranging from 10-15 per week, starting ASAP. Lessons will be conducted in various local settings.
TeacherActive are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout Derby. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.
We are currently looking for TAs and tutors with experience of working with challenging young people to provide KS1‑KS4 Maths and English support on a 1:1 basis to students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.
The students have a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD. As they have been out of education for some time, they require support with their core subjects, Maths and English, at a lower level. The HTLA will need to assess their current ability and reintroduce education into their routine whilst a suitable school provision is found. Lessons will take place either in a local library or the young person’s home.
Applicants must have a strong understanding of SEN and a good level of Maths and English.
All applicants will be contacted to discuss suitability and then invited to register with TeacherActive. Registration involves an enhanced DBS check, ID checks and the provision of good professional references.
TeacherActive is an equal opportunities employer, and operates as an Employment Business in providing temporary or contract job‑seeking services.
