Job description

Job Title: Tutor – Building Services Engineering & Property Maintenance Operative

Location: Croydon College Group – World of Work

Salary: £47,500 per annum (35 hours per week, 52 weeks)

Role Overview

The Tutor will act as the main point of contact for apprentices, providing information, advice and guidance, monitoring progress against apprenticeship standards, and maintaining strong relationships with employers to ensure apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours (KSBs) they need to carry out their job role successfully. The Tutor will facilitate both teaching and assessment of apprentices across Building Services Engineering (BSE) and Property Maintenance Operative (PMO) programmes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver teaching and assessment during block release periods for BSE (8 weeks annually, commencing November).
  • Conduct site visits to apprentices' workplaces to monitor progress, ensure compliance, and support achievement.
  • Support teaching and site visits for PMO cohorts.
