Job summary

A community-focused educational organization is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Secondary Tutor to support vulnerable young people in Skelmersdale. The role involves creating personalized lesson plans and delivering tailored tutoring sessions. Candidates should have QTS or relevant tutoring experience and exhibit patience and empathy. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years professional references required.
  • Right to work in the UK is mandatory.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is necessary.
  • Overseas Police Check (if applicable).
  • Experience with SEN pupils is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons.

  • Provide weekly progress reports.

Are you a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for helping young minds thrive? If so, we have a very exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a tutor in Skelmersdale. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk young people. The successful tutor must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson to bridge gaps in a pupil's education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

Position Details:
  • Role: 1:1 Secondary Tutor
  • Subjects: Maths, English, Science
  • Location: In the community or pupils home (Lancaster)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Rate of Pay: GBP25 per hour (minimum)
  • Hours: Flexible - between 8am and 4pm (some after-school work available)
  • Contract Type: Ongoing, part-time contract
Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK
