An educational staffing organization is seeking a dedicated Maths and English Tutor in Matlock to provide personalised support to students. The role involves delivering tailored sessions and creating engaging materials. Candidates should have tutoring experience and a caring approach. This position offers £25–£30 per hour with flexible daytime hours, making a meaningful impact on learners' lives.
TP Tutors is expanding across Derbyshire, and we’re looking for a committed Maths and English Tutor to work with learners in Matlock (DE4) who need a supportive, personalised approach to learning.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working one-to-one, helping students rebuild confidence, fill gaps in understanding, and get back on track with their core subjects. Many of the young people we support benefit from a calm, structured environment and a tutor who can adapt sessions to their individual needs.
The work is in-person, during school hours, and usually takes place in the pupil’s home or a nearby community location.
Delivering tailored Maths and English sessions
Creating engaging, accessible learning materials
Encouraging progress through patience, positivity, and clear guidance
Working closely with our team to report on attendance and progress
Experience teaching/tutoring Maths and/or English
A caring, consistent approach to supporting learners
An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
£25–£30 per hour (PAYE)
Flexible daytime hours
Ongoing CPD and tutor support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
