Job summary

A leading educational support provider in England seeks a KS1-KS4 Tutor to assist students with special educational needs in their home or in local libraries. East Midlands/ temporary / £85 - 110 per day

TeacherActive are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout Nottingham. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for a TA's/Tutors with experience of working with challenging young people to provide KS1-KS4 Maths and English support on a 1:1 basis who is not currently accessing mainstream education.

The students have a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD. As they have been out of education for some time, they require support with their core subjects, Maths and English, however will be working at a lower level. The HTLA will need to assess their current ability and reintroduce education into their routine whilst a suitable school provision is found. Lessons will take place either in a local Library or the young persons home.

Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have strong understanding of SEN and a good level of Maths and English.

Position Details
  • Position: KS1- KS4 Tutor
  • Hours: 10-15 hours a week (during the school day)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: ongoing
