Job summary

A tutoring and education support service is seeking a part-time 1:1 Outreach Tutor to work with students in Harlow, delivering tailored educational support. Ideal candidates will hold QTS, possess UK teaching experience, and have the ability to engage with SEND pupils. The pay ranges from £25 to £30 per hour based on experience.

About the Role

You'll work with students on a 1-to-1 basis or in small groups, either in-person or online, delivering tailored support based on each pupil's needs and goals. Whether you're a qualified teacher, a university student, or an experienced tutor, we want to hear from you.

Contract/Position Details
  • Location: Within the community or pupils' home
  • Position: 1:1 Outreach Tutor
  • Type of work: Contract
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
  • End date (if applicable): Ongoing
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Full-time/part-time: Part time (15 hours per week, per student)
  • Minimum rate of pay: £25–£30 per hour
  • Hours: Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box
  • Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
Eligibility
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willing to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references
