About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a Turkish-speaking Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in the Port Talbot area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils who have English as an Additional Language (EAL), helping them to feel confident and supported in the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support to Turkish-speaking pupils, helping them access the curriculum.
Assist the class teacher with general classroom tasks and pupil engagement.
Deliver tailored interventions to support language development and learning.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
Act as a vital communication bridge between the school and Turkish-speaking families.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Fluency in Turkish and English (spoken and written).
Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
Right to work in the UK.
