A UK-based culinary company is seeking a Turkish Second Chef to assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations. The Turkish Second Chef supports the Turkish Head Chef in daily operations of the Turkish kitchen section. This includes supervising staff, preparing authentic and modern Turkish dishes, ensuring quality, and maintaining high kitchen hygiene and safety standards. The role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of Turkish cuisine, and the ability to run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
Prepare a variety of Turkish dishes including grills (kebabs, koftes), hot/cold mezze, pide, lahmacun, dolmas, pilav, and desserts (e.g., baklava, sutlac).
Ensure consistency in portioning, taste, and presentation.
Operate and maintain traditional cooking equipment such as charcoal grills, stone ovens, and saj.
