Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Turkish-speaking Subject Matter Expert to lead a transcription project from London or anywhere in the UK. You will guide a team of Turkish labelers and reviewers, ensuring linguistic accuracy and high-quality output for AI data pipelines.

You will act as the primary language expert on transcription, labeling, and language questions, while maintaining consistency across the project and providing actionable feedback to the team.

Qualifications

• Native proficiency in Turkish with deep knowledge of colloquial and regional varieties.
• Excellent Turkish writing and speaking skills.
• Experience with audio transcription, labeling, or AI data projects.
• Ability to coach, guide, and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Turkish labelers and reviewers throughout the project.
• Provide guidance on transcription, labeling, and language questions.
• Maintain quality standards across all project work.
• Monitor performance and identify quality issues and trends.
• Conduct regular audits and provide actionable feedback.
• Manage project communications via Discord and host Office Hours.
• Escalate ambiguities and gaps in guidelines when needed.
• Participate in team calibration sessions and project discussions.
• Ensure alignment between labelers and reviewers for consistency.
• Inform the language team about updates and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with Project Operators and Managers on quality and workflow.
