A leading conservation charity is seeking volunteer gardeners to help maintain the gardens and parkland at Felbrigg. Volunteers will support the gardening team, engage with visitors, and assist with seasonal projects. Ideal candidates should be passionate about gardening and able to commit to volunteering at least once a fortnight, particularly on Tuesdays. Training and equipment will be provided, along with travel expense reimbursements.

Overview

Role: If you love gardens, you’ll know they need a lot of care and attention. Volunteer gardeners do practical work to help keep the gardens and parkland at Felbrigg in peak condition and looking eye catching. You will be helping the gardening and estate team with everyday practical tasks to keep the garden looking its best. Being a friendly face for visitors and answering any questions. Helping with projects like new planting, clearing overgrown areas and other seasonal tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Support the gardening and estate team with everyday practical gardening tasks to keep the garden looking its best.
  • Be a friendly face for visitors and answer questions.
  • Assist with projects such as new planting, clearing overgrown areas and other seasonal tasks.
  • Adhere to health and safety and evacuation procedures; help ensure the site runs smoothly and safely.
  • Be part of a team that may need to adapt to changing circumstances.
Volunteer Experience & Benefits

  • Expenses offered to cover agreed travel costs between home and place of volunteering.

Time commitment

Available at least once a fortnight; we are currently only looking for volunteers to help us out on Tuesdays.
