Job Summary

Applications are invited to apply for a Trust Specialty Registrar in Histopathology to work in the Department of Cellular Pathology at the Wycombe Hospital, High Wycombe. This post is a Fixed Term Contract available from December 2025 and must end on 04/08/2026.

ALL interested candidates MUST hold a valid GMC registration with a Licence to Practice in the UK. This advert may close earlier than the stated closing date. We encourage interested applicants to apply early.

Main duties

The post holder will be involved in the organisation of the rota of the department and will have opportunities to learn about general laboratory management and administration.

You will be working alongside 11 Cellular Pathology Consultants, 2 Specialty doctors and 5 Specialist registrars (ST2–ST5) on the Thames Valley Deanery rotation.

The successful candidate must have GMC registration, MBBS (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years training in histopathology (familiarity with the UK Histopathology training system desirable). These posts have no on call requirement and working hours are weekdays between 9am‑5pm. This post is for 8 months (from 1st December 2025 to 4th August 2026).
