Job summary

The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Uxbridge is offering a 12-month fixed-term Trust Specialty Registrar post in obstetrics and gynaecology, starting asap. The role covers ward management, antenatal and gynaecology clinics, with a rotation through the gynaecology oncology team and opportunities in theatre, all under consultant supervision.

Applicants must have GMC registration, FRCS or MRCS, and at least two years of UK O&G experience with ST3+ training.

Qualifications

• GMC registration is required.

• Completed at least two years of UK training as an ST in O&G (ST3+).
• FRCS or MRCS qualification.

Responsibilities

• Routine obstetric and gynaecology ward management.
• Antenatal and gynaecology outpatient clinics under supervision.
• Manage normal pregnancies and delivery with supervised training.
• Work across antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology wards.
• Duties in Day Assessment and Triage Units and Early Pregnancy Unit.
• Participation in theatre and rotation through the oncology team.
• Active participation in audit.
• Optional specialist interest clinics in Obstetric Medicine, Fetal Medicine, Rapid Access Clinic and Outpatient Hysteroscopy.

This is a 12-month fixed-term Trust Speciality Registrar post in obstetrics and gynaecology at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, starting asap. The work centres on ward management and outpatient clinics under consultant supervision, with theatre and a rotation through the gynaecology oncology team. The post covers antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology wards, the Day Assessment and Triage Units and the Early Pregnancy Unit, on full-time core hours Monday to Friday. Applicants need GMC registration, at least two years of UK O&G experience and FRCS or MRCS.

What the job involves

• Management of normal pregnancies and their delivery, with supervised training in abnormal obstetrics and gynaecology
