Job summary

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a Trust Manager to join a highly respected professional services firm based in Maidstone.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trust professional to join a successful and supportive team. The position can be shaped around the successful applicant's experience, with flexible working arrangements and both full time and part time hours considered.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working with trusts in professional services
• STEP/CTA/ATT or accountancy qualifications advantageous; experienced-by-experience considered

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of trusts and estates
• Preparing and reviewing trust accounts and tax returns
• Advising clients on trust taxation, inheritance tax and capital gains tax matters
• Liaising with trustees, beneficiaries, solicitors, investment managers and HMRC
• Supporting estate administration and wider private client advisory work
• Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team
• Maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to provide additional support

You will manage a varied portfolio of trusts and estates, overseeing compliance work while providing high quality advice to trustees, beneficiaries and private clients. Depending on your experience, there will also be opportunities to support the development of junior team members and contribute to the continued growth of the department.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of trusts and estates
• Preparing and reviewing trust accounts and tax returns
• Advising clients on trust taxation, inheritance tax and capital gains tax matters

Requirements

The successful candidate will have significant experience working with trusts, gained within an accountancy practice, legal firm, trust company or professional services environment. STEP, CTA, ATT or accountancy qualifications would be advantageous, although experienced candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
