Job summary

Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust in Harrogate seeks an exceptional Inclusion and Strategic Safeguarding Lead to coordinate and drive safeguarding across all its schools, aged 2-19. You will act as lead professional for inclusion matters, providing expert guidance to Trustees and senior leaders.

You will shape policies to ensure statutory compliance, promote a culture of safeguarding excellence, and support schools across primary, secondary and post-16 settings.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in shaping and delivering inclusion and safeguarding strategies across a multi- academy trust.
• Experience advising Trustees and senior leaders on safeguarding and inclusion.
• Knowledge of statutory safeguarding requirements and best practices across all education phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead inclusion and safeguarding across all Trust schools and settings.
• Provide expert guidance to Trustees, Executive Leadership Team and Designated Safeguarding Leads.
• Support ongoing professional development and quarterly safeguarding reviews across the Trust.

We are seeking an exceptional Trust Inclusion and Strategic Safeguarding Lead, who has the knowledge and dedication to act as lead professional for all inclusion and safeguarding matters across the Trust. This pivotal role will provide expert advice and guidance to the Trustees, Executive Leadership Team, Designated Safeguarding Leads, and Senior Leaders across our primary, secondary, and post-16 settings, supporting children and young people aged 2-19.

As a key member of the Central Trust Team, you will demonstrate personal skills and qualities that align to an already established positive, hardworking and committed team. You will have a proven track record of shaping and delivering inclusion and safeguarding strategies that ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and policies, while driving a strong culture of inclusion and safeguarding excellence across all phases of education.

A full trust induction programme will be put in place for the successful candidate. Whilst the successful applicant will need significant mainstream experience, previous experience of working across all three phases of education is not required, thoughyou will be expected to develop the knowledge to support and challenge across our three phases, therefore an interest in your own ongoing professional growth is vital.
