York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Trust Grade Doctor to join the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team in York Hospital for a 12-month fixed-term post. The role involves supporting urgent and emergency care within the SDEC alongside ACPs and nursing teams.

You will work 08:00–21:00 shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, with clinical and educational supervision to support your personal and portfolio development within an MDT.

Full Time, 12 Months Fixed Term CT1/CT2 - SAME DAY EMERGENCY CARE DEPARTMENT - YORK HOSPITAL

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Trust Grade Doctor to join our in Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Department.

This is a full time, 12 months fixed term post based at York Hospital. You will be joining our established MDT providing a comprehensive clinical to patients from our local area.

Our York Medical SDEC is open 08:00 - 02:00 7 days a week, and takes a range of patients streamed from the Emergency Department, GPs and direct pathways from the ambulance service.

This role will cover shifts from 08:00 - 21:00, including weekends and bank holidays.

Whilst the post available does not form part of the formal training programme, we endeavour to offer post holders the same training and educational opportunities as colleagues in training, including paid study leave. You will be provided with clinical and educational supervision, to enable your personal and portfolio development. There is also an active Postgraduate Medical Education Centre.

Our successful Doctor will provide a comprehensive clinical service to patients from and around York on the Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC), with the support of ACPs, nursing teams and with Acute Consultant cover.

You will:
