A prominent NHS healthcare provider in London seeks a Senior Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This role involves developing skills in minimal access surgery, working with a diverse patient population, and requires at least 3 years' experience post-MRCOG. The position offers an immediate start for a 12-month term, with on-call duties including nights and weekends.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology are looking to recruit a Senior Clinical fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the opportunity to develop skills and experience in minimal access surgery and management of endometriosis & chronic pelvic pain. The successful candidate will be able to complete relevant SITM. The post is available immediately for 12 months initially with the possibility of extending. This post is suitable for post CCT candidates.
Croydon University Hospital caters to a diverse population and has a BSGE recognised tertiary Endometriosis centre. Patients are managed by a team of specialist across several specialities, including colorectal surgery and urology. The O&G department has a large gynaecology workload leading to an abundance of elective and emergency gynaecology experience. The population presents with obstetric complications that are both challenging as well as rewarding.
Applicants will have at least 3 years’ experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology post-MRCOG or equivalent. Surgical training will be provided in a variety of areas. The job requires laparoscopic experience.
Croydon University Hospital is a large district general hospital which provides care for a very diverse population. There are 16 WTE Consultants and an Associate Specialist. The middle grade consists of a Sub‑Specialist Doctor and 9 Specialist Registrars/StR3+. There are 10 Senior House Officers with a mixture of Speciality trainees, GP trainees and Foundation doctors.

The unit offers a two tier system for junior doctors. The successful applicant will work on the middle grade rota. The job includes nights and weekends on call. There is a regular weekend on‑call and approximately three nights monthly.
