Job overview

Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a motivated resident doctor committed to a surgical career in the UK, with a particular interest in Urology. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, working across Urology and General Surgery specialties, with a 1:15 on‑call commitment.

Essential requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a current licence to practise
  • MBBS (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 6 months surgical experience at FY2 or equivalent level, ideally within the NHS
  • Clear evidence of commitment to a surgical career (e.g., audit, research, MRCS Part 1, career statement)
Desirable
  • MRCS Part 1
  • Experience in Urology within the NHS
  • Audit/research experience

As such, all nursing, clinical, and operational roles may involve working on a 24/7 shift basis, unless otherwise specified during the recruitment process.
