Job Summary

Applicants are invited for an enthusiastic and academically motivated Clinical Research Fellow to join our Adult Critical Care Unit as part of our expanding research and development strategy. This post offers a rare opportunity to combine hands‑on clinical experience in one of the UK’s busiest critical care environments with substantial protected time for academic work within a leading research group. The Royal London ACCU provides exposure to a diverse and high‑acuity patient cohort, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence and innovation.

This fellowship is designed to promote and develop research capability in Intensive Care Medicine. The post holder will join the Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine research group, an internationally recognised team working across a broad range of fields including infection, genomics, metabolism, functional outcomes, sarcopenia, inflammation, acute kidney injury, peri‑operative care and trauma.

Alongside your research activities, you will participate in clinical duties on the Adult Critical Care Unit under consultant supervision, contributing to the admission, assessment and day‑to‑day management of critically ill patients.
