Job Summary

Paediatric fellowship – December 2025 to March 2026 (with possibility of extension). We are excited to announce a Junior clinical fellow (ST1‑3 equivalent) post in paediatrics.

The successful candidate will have the following subspecialty choice: General Paediatrics. This job covers training post vacancies and will last 4 months, with possible extension based on clinical performance.

Who is the Junior fellowship suitable for?

Paediatric trainees wanting further subspecialty experience; foundation trainees FY3; trainees out of programme seeking sub‑specialty experience before GRID; and overseas paediatric trainees.

Due to high demand, the vacancy may close early – submit as soon as possible.

Main duties of the job

The General paediatric firm comprises 10 FTE consultants, 3 GPVTS trainees (SHO equivalent), 2 FY1 and 2 FY2 trainees, and one general paediatric registrar.

The post holder will manage ward care of general paediatric in‑patients, liaise with paediatric sub‑specialities, paediatric A&E, hospital and community multidisciplinary teams, review and discuss referrals, and cover on‑call duties as per rota. Opportunities also include attending clinics and covering sub‑specialty patients.
