Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Trust doctor to join the West London Forensic services, based at St Bernard's Hospital, Ealing. The post offers a salary range of £55,355 – £67,325 per annum plus London Zone Weighting, within a multidisciplinary clinical team providing care on one ward for individuals with mental disorders requiring medium to low security treatment.

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated full time Trust doctoe, to join the West London Forensic services, based at St Bernard's Hospital Ealing.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a well- established multi- disciplinary clinical team providing care across one ward. The wards are commissioned to provide care for individuals with mental disorders who require treatment in conditions of medium or low security. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of a consultant forensic psychiatrist to provide effective, responsive, caring and safe treatment for the women.

Your role would be, together with the Responsible clinician providing front-line mental health assessment and care including attending ward rounds, CPA meetings, community meetings and reflective practice, as well as opportunity to provide written an oral evidence for courts and tribunals.

Essential

• Primary Medical Degree.
• Full registration with the GMC.
• Higher qualifications. Section 12(2) approval.
• Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice
• Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice including: ogood clinical care omaintaining good medical practice ogood relationships and communication with patients ogood working relationships with colleagues ogood teaching and training oprofessional behaviour and probity odelivery of good acute clinical care
• Experience in psychiatry
• All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English that are adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, which could be demonstrated by one of the following:
